[00:00] In this lesson, I'll show how to set up a connection to an Allen-Bradley Micro800 device. I'll start by going to my gateway webpage, navigating to connections, expanding devices, and clicking connections. Then I'll click Create Device Connection. I'll select Allen-Bradley Micro800 from the list of drivers. Once that's selected, I can click Next. I'll need to give this connection a name, so I'm gonna call mine Micro800. Then I need to provide the hostname or IP address of my device. This connection needs a port defined. I'm gonna leave mine on the default of 44818. This is all that's needed to create the connection, but I'll also mention the local address property, which allows you to specify an IP address that you'd like to connect to the device from leaving. This blank allows the driver to select one for you automatically. If you'd like to read more about this driver and the connection properties, I'll include a link to our user manual page where you can read about each property, see the supported data types, learn about addressing, and see some performance considerations.

[01:06] This link can be found in the resources section below the video. Since I'm done configuring this, I'll click Create Device Connection. Once this says it's connected, I can open my designer, browse my devices, find the new connection, and see my tags.
