[00:00] In this lesson, I'll demonstrate how to configure an ignition gateway as an EAM agent. This will require that a central controller gateway is established on the network, as we'll be prevented from connecting any agents until that is created. I already have this set up, so I'll start on my agent gateway here. But if you need a refresher, then you can watch the previous lesson for creating a controller. We'll actually navigate to the same configure page from that video within our Network tab under Enterprise. Let's click on the Configure EAM button, and this time, we'll designate our gateway as an agent and click on Next. We are then prompted to choose the controller from this field, and I'll select the one I already have set up and click on Finish. Once this is complete, we have access to different agent settings regarding the time interval of sending this gateway statistics, lease licensing, and remote upgrades. I'll include a link to the user manual going over them in more detail. We can also, from here, uninstall the agent configuration in the same way we would with the controller settings by clicking on this button towards the top. There's one last step we need to handle on this Agent's page in the controller, and that's approving this connection.

[01:11] And since I do recognize this, I'll click on this More Options button and choose to approve the connection. Once it's connected, the controller will start receiving the agent's stats and be able to request different tasks from it.
