(open in window)[00:00] In this lesson, we will learn how our gateway network can benefit from enterprise administration or EAM. With this module, you can designate a single controller gateway to monitor any number of agent gateways and be able to request different tasks from them. Looking at my screen, we can see I already have this configured where I have one controller connected to two agents. Rather than having to go into each gateway for standard operations, like activating a license or collecting a backup, we can do that from right here in the controller. Within the network tab, we have this section for enterprise, and we can go to the agent task page. From here, we can tell our agents what to do depending on what we select from this list. There are more tasks available than the ones I previously mentioned, allowing you to make many common requests. These can be executed on a schedule or on demand for any number of gateways you select. And additional settings can also be configured. Later on in this EAM course, you can find lessons for creating some of the most common tasks. Agent monitoring can be found in the agent's page, and we can see here that they're listed out with the current status of connected.
[01:11] There's dashboards available by clicking on this more options button and selecting view details. This lets us see things such as saved gateway backups, installed modules, and project information. The more options button also lets us manually restart an agent or delete it from the EAM configuration. Finally, this page shows relevant logs providing awareness of any potential errors with agents. These last few pages allow us to configure controller specific settings, event thresholds we want to monitor and manage license keys and remote upgrades. We'll go over them in more detail throughout this course and learn about the gateway network enhancements that come with the EAM module.
