(open in window)[00:00] In this video, we'll take a look at license management on the controller. I have two gateways here, one that is configured as a controller and the other that is configured as an agent. The agent currently does not have a license installed, but we'll change that in a second here. So I head back to my controller, and in the configure section of the gateway I'm going to scroll on down and under enterprise administration, there should be a license management page, so I click on the link there. This page here allows us to store multiple licenses. Currently, I'm not storing any licenses so let's add one. I'm going to click the add licenses link. I can type in my license key here. I'm just going to paste one in real quick. Note that multiple licenses can be entered as long as you put commas in between, and you don't have to capitalize here. I only have the one license so I'll go ahead and click the add button down below. And I've added my license. We can see it over here that it is currently unassigned. Once the license has been stored, we have several options. The first would be to delete or remove the key. I'm going to skip this option as I need the key so I'll click the more dropdown instead and select the details option. This simply gives us the module details of the license. Let's head back, I'm going to click the back link. It will go back to the more dropdown and I'll click on the assign link. This option allows us to assign the license to one of our agents. From the agent selection dropdown I can select which agent should be assigned this license. I'll click on my agent and click the assign now button. I'll run the task, and if we head back to my agent, you can see that there's now a license on my agent. Let's take a look at the last option. I'll head back to my controller. We'll scroll on down and head back over to the license management page. On a side note, you can see that this license is currently assigned to my agent. If we look at the more dropdown, this time we'll see the unactivate option. This will unactivate the license on the agent. I'll click unactivate, and then we'll see a page that's asking us to confirm that we want to unactivate the license. We'll run the task, and now if we had back to my agent, you can see that the license has been removed. The activating and unactivating options in this lesson are identical to creating an immediate task on the agent tasks page. The license management page simply offers a convenient location to quickly manage your agent licenses.
