Alarm Notification Auditing
Description
Alarm Notification profiles can be set to store information in an Audit Profile.
Video recorded using: Ignition 8.1
Transcript
(open in window)[00:00] Alarm notification profiles are able to leverage Ignition's audit profile system to log notification related information to a SQL database. By default, a notification profile is not configured to send its data to an audit profile. We can easily change that in the gateway by going over to the Configure tab. Scrolling down to the Notification section under Alarming. Here, I can add or configure my notification profiles. I will select to edit any one of my notification profiles. I will scroll down to the bottom to find the Auditing section. If you have an audit profile configured like I do here, you can have any alarm notification events going through this profile log all of their information to the SQL database the audit profile is configured to use. If I had two way enabled for this notification profile, the auditing system will also record alarm acknowledgements to the database.
