[00:00] Security levels to find a hierarchy for access inside ignition. Tag editing access can be limited using security levels. Through this real time tag providers configuration, tag editing permissions can be configured to include a comma separated list of security levels a user must be granted to be able to edit, create, or delete a tag inside this specific tag provider. This setting allows you to choose if you want users to belong to all, or at least one of the security levels listed. Let's take a look at how this works. I will configure the tag editing permission setting to have the following list of security levels. With this configuration, a user editing a tag in this tag provider must be logged in and must belong to the administrator and operator security levels. To test this rule we just configured, I will go to my designer, which is configured to point to my default tag provider. I am currently logged in as a user who belongs to the administrator security level, but not the operator security level. When I try to edit my tags name here, I get a permissions error since I do not belong to the operator security level.

[01:07] If I try to create a new tag by copying and pasting my existing tag, I see a similar error. Finally, if I tried to leaving the tag, I will also not be able to do so, because again, I am not granted the required security levels. Let's go back to our gateway and change our configuration to only require at least one of the lists of security levels for tag edits. Going back to my designer, since I now belong to one of the security levels listed in the tag editing permissions list, I will now be able to edit my tag, create a new tag and delete a tag from this tag provider.
