[00:00] An Ignition audit profile automatically logs certain actions that occur in the system. Audit profile data can be logged to a SQL database, an internal database, or it can be a remote reference to an audit profile coming from another Ignition Gateway. A few examples of the items that an audit profile records are tag writes, user logins, project save events, and report executions. When an audit profile is created, Ignition will automatically create a database table, named Audit Events, and it will use this table to begin logging user actions. To create an audit profile, we simply head to our Ignition Gateway's web interface, we go to the Configure tab, then we head to Security and select Auditing. We then click on the Create New Audit Profile option, and since this is a database type audit profile, we select Database and click Next. I will name this audit profile and I will point it to an already existing database connection. I then press the Create New Audit Profile button to finish the configuration. Now that we have the profile, we'll need to make some configuration changes elsewhere in the system based on what we want to record, but we'll take a look at those configurations in the following videos.
