[00:00] In this lesson, we'll demonstrate how to connect to a Mitsubishi device in Ignition. To create a new device connection, we can navigate to the Connections tab, and then choose the Connections page under Devices. We can see I don't have any connections yet on this page, and we can begin by clicking the Create Device Connection button. Here, we see a list of all available device driver types, and we'll scroll down until we find the Mitsubishi TCP option. Let's go ahead and select that and click on Next. Now we're prompted to configure the parameters of our device connection. We first need to give this a name, and I'll call mine Mitsubishi Device. Next, we need to specify the IP address or hostname of the device, and I'll go ahead and paste in the one for mine. Finally, the last required option is the port number, and by default, this is set to 1025, but I actually need to update this, and I'll set it to 1030. You may also need to specify the MELSEC series, but I'll leave it as the default value of iQR.

[01:05] There are also a number of other customization parameters available, and for full descriptions of those, you can review the included user manual page in the Resources section below the video. Now that we have everything configured, we can click on the Create Device Connection button. If we're successful, we'll see the specified Mitsubishi device added to the device connections list with a status of Connected.
